Who I am and What I do
I’m not who you’d expect to be making jewelry.
I’m a musician. A performer. A guy who spent years hauling gear into venues, setting up loops, and playing to rooms full of strangers. I wear earrings myself - always have - and somewhere along the way I started noticing that the most interesting things to wear weren’t found in stores. They were found in the trash.
Bottle caps. Circuit boards. Vinyl scraps. Old book covers. Electronic components pulled from gutted machines. Things that had a life, served a purpose, and got thrown away when that purpose was done.
I couldn’t let them go.
Up From Bones started at festival tables and weekend markets across Arizona — me, a display rack, and a collection of pieces that stopped people mid-stride. Not because they were precious. Because they were familiar. People would lean in, squint, and say “wait — is that a capacitor?” or “that’s a Ballast Point cap.” And then they’d smile. Because suddenly a piece of trash was something worth wearing.
Every piece I make is handpicked for shape, weight, color, and story. I wire them together by hand, pair them with stone, wood, or metal, and send them back out into the world with a second life they never expected.
That’s what this is. Resurrection, one pair at a time.
